Our Programs
1 Social Protection (Social Security, (Health) Insurance, and Decent Work) Research, Monitoring and Evaluation:
1.The aim of this program is to undertake social protection (Social Security, (Health) Insurance, and Decent Work) research and monitor and evaluate existing social protection (Social Security, (Health) Insurance, and Decent Work) interventions in order to generate evidence-based knowledge to inform policy and practice
3 Basic Social Protection Services Delivery
The aim of this program is to get involved in assisting the poorest and most vulnerable people in Zambia on temporal basis during most difficult situations in life which they cannot handle using their own abilities such as times of man-made and natural disasters (such as COVID-19, internal displacements through demolition of one’s house, war, heavy rains and drought, and accidents) through provision of basic social protection services such as relief food, shelter, and clothing, sickness and funeral relief services.
2 Social Protection Policy and Legal Innovation, Strengthening and Engagement:
2.The aim of this program is to innovate social protection (Social Security, (Health) Insurance, and Decent Work) policies and laws which can be shared with policy and law makers, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and international organizations on how to enhance provision of social protection services. The program also aims at strengthening existing social protection (Social Security, (Health) Insurance, and Decent Work) policies and laws through engagement with policy and law makers and other social protection actors such as CSOs and international community. This is done by writing policy briefs for policy and law makers makers, CSOs and international community and holding meetings, workshops and conferences on social protection (Social Security, (Health) Insurance, and Decent Work) with major social protection actors such as Members of Parliament (MPs), Heads of Government Institutions in charge of social protection/social security/health insurance/decent work, CSOs, Associations of Employers, Associations of Employees (Trade Unions), Associations of Informal Economy Workers and University and College Students.
4 Social Protection (Social Security, (Health) Insurance, and Decent Work) Education
The aim of this program is to provide relevant social protection education to individuals and organizations in need of social protection (Social Security, (Health) Insurance, and Decent Work) knowledge. This is being done by offering specialized training and refresher short-term courses, capacity building of social protection service providers, advocating for universal, comprehensive, strong, reliable, and sustainable social protection, introduction of social protection courses in colleges and universities in Zambia, Africa and the whole African Region that do not offer social protection, capacity building of lecturers and other champions of social protection (Social Security, (Health) Insurance, and Decent Work).
